Revitalized design of Parenting, a million-plus circulation
consumer service magazine.
Raised newsstand sales by
a total of 40 percent in three years.
Recruited and shaped staff
of seven into a smoothly functioning art department.
Designed and implemented
Parenting Online for America Online.
Consulted on design and
structure for two CD-ROM titles, including From Pregnancy to Parenting
and Parenting's Healthy Pregnancy, working with Propaganda Code
in Los Angeles and Ikonic Interactive in San Francisco, respectively.
Consulted on design and
structure for ParentTime, a joint-venture web site managed by
Pathfinder/Time Warner.
Managed an annual budget

Whittle Communications
Reconceived and redesigned
Special Report, a major property consisting of six bimonthly
mini-magazines and wall media. Immediately after the redesign, readership
jumped from 3.5 million per issue to 11 million per issue.
Managed a staff of four
and a budget in excess of $500,000. Cut outside costs by 25 percent
through the creation of an in-house production system that replaced
select outside vendors.

Assigned and designed for
Pursuits, a single-sponsor magazine produced for Merrill
Lynch.
Managed a staff of three,
as well as assignment and vendor budgets.
PRODUCT
DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Instrumental in the creation
of Medical News Network, an interactive satellite-delivered television
news program for physicians.
Lead designer in the development
of Flix, a multimedia information source covering movies and
personalities for teenage viewers. Package consisted of a mall-based
interactive video kiosk and a take-away print element.

Art directed Windsurfing,
a 100-plus page monthly magazine. Wrote features and departments, illustrated
